Once the home team is established, one of our consultants will travel to the child’s home and will train their parents and the home team. This training is considered the Workshop. The Workshop generally is two to three days consecutively. In attendance of the workshop must be the entire team and the parent(s). The workshop will emphasize modeling and demonstration of direct one-to-one interactions with the child. |
|
During the Workshop, the consultant will cover the following topics:
· What autism is
· Theories regarding autism
· The implementation of techniques and procedures
· How to set up and maintain the logbook
· How to record data
· How to accurately track the progress of the child
· How to conduct a functional analysis
· How to identify the child’s strengths and weaknesses.
· How to increase appropriate behavior and decrease inappropriate behavior
· How to successfully generalize concepts learned |
|
Upon completion of the workshop, we will send you a comprehensive report summarizing the events of the workshop and providing suggestions for the future. |
| This link will give you a list of the items you will need for your workshop. Because each workshop is different, this list is a generic list and may differ for your workshop. |
